Lincoln Elementary Magnet School is proud to announce their candidacy for IB Status Lincoln Elementary, in conjuction with the Magnet Office, is continuing the pursuit of certification in the Primary Years Programme (PYP) through the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). Components of the Primary Years Programme: * Six TransdisciplinaryThemes  that allow for curriculum integration Who We Are Where We Are In Place and Time How We Express Ourselves How We Organize Ourselves  How The World Works   Sharing The Planet * Focuses on the total growth of the child and affects hearts as well as minds * Encompasses social, physical, emotional and cultural needs in addition to academic development * Draws on research and best practices from national and international programs * A relevant, engaging, challenging and significant educational framework for ALL children * Structured  inquiry  as the major vehicle for learning and the development of global perspectives * Second language instruction provided
