Attendance/Tardiness Florida State Law requires that a student be in attendance every school day unless there is an illness or other extenuating circumstances. It is also required by law to explain the cause of a student's absence or tardiness. Hillsborough County Public School Procedures require that the parent/guardian call the school when their child is absent for the day. Should your child be absent, please
call our attendance line at 707-7135 and leave a message. Please include the following with this message: Name of person calling, name of student, name of teacher and reason for absence. If you do not call the absence in, someone from the school will be contacting you. If we do not receive notification of the absence, it will be marked as unexcused. Remember that it is very important that your child be in attendance so they can get the most out of school. |
